As the demand for IT workers continues to grow - there are more than 850,000 basic jobs of computers in the United States alone [1] - more and more employers are turning to certification to help identify suitable candidates. The seminar will explore what certifications are increasingly important to employers.

Speakers also provided Angel Pineiro, senior vice president of integrating UPS, Inc.; Steven Gilman, Systems Engineer, SW @ 4 of the security; Patrick Lane, senior director of product management, CompTIA; and Amy Carrado, director of market research and market intelligence, CompTIA.

"HR professionals believe they have candidates IT industry certifications to save time and resources in evaluating candidates, ensures the credibility of a candidate and prove you have a base set of knowledge" Carrado said.

He cited the March 2015 Perceptions study CompTIA training IT human resources and certification, which revealed that two-thirds of HR executives surveyed said certifications are very valuable and 94 percent expect the importance of certifications to grow over the next two years.

"Once hired, certified IT professionals catch up faster, are more likely to stay with the organization long term, are more likely to be promoted, and usually better than uncertified staff computing" he added.
